Our extra-curricular highlights
PCYC Fit for Change
Once a year in conjunction with Our Police Youth Liaison Officers we run a Fit for Change program where students complete a range of activities and excursions that assist in building confidence and skills but also create positive relationships in the community.
Waves of Wellness
Waves of Wellness (WOW) is a surf therapy program that combines surfing with evidence-based mental health support. For students, it offers a unique way to step outside the classroom, reduce stress, and build resilience in a safe and supportive environment. Through guided surf sessions, students develop confidence, mindfulness, and social connections while experiencing the proven mental health benefits of physical activity in nature. WOW helps students not only improve their wellbeing but also equips them with tools to manage challenges both at school and beyond.
Art Classes
Art classes give students a creative outlet to express themselves, build confidence, and explore new ways of thinking. Having a dedicated art teacher brings expertise and inspiration into the classroom, helping students develop skills in different techniques while fostering imagination and problem-solving. Beyond artistic growth, art lessons also support wellbeing, encourage collaboration, and provide a positive break from traditional academics—helping students thrive both personally and academically.
